How about some sports photography?

We recently had a fun opportunity to shoot the “TOMB” or Top of The Mountain Bowl game in Salt Lake City, where Snow College and Iowa Western played for the Championship.  We were able to capture some great action shots, and it’s always fun to be down on the field and in the middle of it all.

As photographers it’s important to have a wide skill range.  You never know what you will be asked to do, and if you are being compensated for the assignment you must be able to provide the type of photography your client asks for at a professional level.  Take any opportunity that comes your way to explore the capabilities of your equipment and hone your skills.

Here are some of our favorite shots from the game.

285mm 1/1250 @ f5.6 ISO 800
400mm 1/1500 @ f/6.7 ISO 800
105mm 1/1000 @f/5.6 ISO 800
400mm 1/2000 @ f/5.6 ISO 1000
100mm 1/2000 @ f/6.7 ISO 1000
100mm 1/2000 @ f/4.5 ISO 1000
400mm 1/1000 @ f/5.6 ISO 1600

These shots are always fun at the end of the game! Hope you enjoyed.
